Assess billing fit alongside SimplePractice

SimplePractice can remain the practice's clinical and billing workspace. Taiga can evaluate how to support the billing work, but the exact access and handoff need to be confirmed for your account. This is a compatibility assessment, not a verified native connection.

Start with the work already happening in SimplePractice

A useful handoff starts with the practice's actual billing screens and responsibilities, not an assumed integration.

Map appointments and claims

Review how the practice moves completed appointments into insurance claims and who resolves missing claim information. SimplePractice documents claim submission and status review in its billing workflow; the interface may differ by account while its Billing hub rolls out.

Set a billing role

The practice owner determines whether a practice biller role and any additional permissions match the work Taiga would be asked to perform. SimplePractice describes claim filing, payments and billing reports for that role; permission to view clinical documents is separate.

Agree on the handoff

Before work begins, decide who prepares claims, who submits and corrects them, and where payment posting and patient balances will be handled. Taiga should confirm this with the practice rather than assume records move automatically.

Reconcile with approved reports

Review which filed-claim, unpaid-appointment, balance and payment reports the authorized team can export. Use a practice-approved process to reconcile exceptions; an available export is not evidence of a live data feed.

What a clear handoff can change

The goal is an accountable billing process, subject to a setup review.

Fewer ownership gaps

Identify who owns missing claim details, resubmissions and follow-up before the first claim is touched.

Work in the existing system

Evaluate billing support around the practice's current SimplePractice workflows instead of promising a clinical-system replacement.

Visible exceptions

Agree on which claim statuses, unpaid appointments and balances the practice and billing team will review together.

Questions to settle before access

Answers depend on your SimplePractice account, current billing workflow and the practice's authorization.

Which role is available?

Can the practice assign an appropriate biller role, and does it need additional, separately granted permissions for the agreed tasks? Confirm the role and terms in the practice's account.

Where are claims managed?

Which billing screens does your team use today, and what changes, if any, does the staged Billing hub rollout introduce for claim review?

What can be reported?

Which reports and export formats are available to the authorized user, and who will reconcile open claims, remittances and balances at the handoff?

How will access be governed?

Who approves access, defines permitted work and handles removal of access if responsibilities change? Do not share a clinician's credentials as a shortcut.

Who this is for

An independent practice using SimplePractice that wants a billing partner but first needs to confirm roles, claim ownership and reporting in its own account.

What this page does not promise

Taiga has not publicly documented a SimplePractice-specific connector, automated synchronization or a universal access path. Features and permissions can depend on the practice's plan, role and rollout. A fit call is required before describing a working connection.

Questions about SimplePractice billing support

Does Taiga have a native SimplePractice integration?

No Taiga-specific native connection has been publicly verified for this page. Taiga can review your practice's access and billing workflow to determine whether support is feasible.

Would Taiga need access to clinical notes?

Not by default. SimplePractice separates practice biller capabilities from extra permissions for chart notes and client documents. The practice should grant only the access needed for agreed work.

Can a biller handle claims and payments in SimplePractice?

SimplePractice documents a practice biller role that can file insurance claims and manage billing documents and payments. Confirm the role, plan and permitted tasks for your own account before assigning work.

Will reports update Taiga automatically?

A report export is not an automatic connection. SimplePractice documents one-time and scheduled exports for certain reports; Taiga would need to agree with the practice on a permitted review and reconciliation process.

What happens to claims already in progress?

The practice and Taiga should identify open claims, resubmissions and payments before the handoff, then agree who owns each item. This page does not assume claims transfer automatically.
