Clinicient became Insight by WebPT. Billing still needs owners.

WebPT completed its acquisition of Clinicient in January 2022, and Clinicient's products now carry the Insight name inside WebPT's platform. WebPT says Insight products are not going away. Practices on Insight EMR and Insight Billing can keep them and still choose who works their claims.

How Insight practices bill today

The Clinicient products kept their workflows after the acquisition. The handoff maps onto them.

Documentation in Insight EMR or InsightGO

Therapists chart in Insight EMR or the web-based InsightGO. WebPT describes coding automation and Medicare tracking alerts in the EMR.

Claims in Insight Billing

Insight Billing ties documentation, scheduling, and billing together. WebPT lists built-in 8-minute rule logic, NCCI edits, and KX modifier threshold tracking.

The managed option

With Total Insight, a dedicated WebPT revenue cycle manager scrubs and submits claims daily. That is the service an independent partner would stand in for.

Taiga's part

Taiga would draft codes from notes for provider approval, scrub and submit claims, verify eligibility, and work each denial and appeal using access your practice grants.

Why it matters for Insight practices

A billing change does not have to wait for a software change.

No forced migration

WebPT has said it will keep maintaining Insight, so the billing decision can come first.

Therapy rules stay in view

Timed-code rules and KX threshold tracking still matter after a handoff. Taiga scrubs each claim against payer rules before submission.

One owner per claim

Splitting Total Insight and an outside partner on the same claims causes confusion. Pick one team for each date range.

What to confirm for Insight

Clinicient practices joined WebPT's platform at different times, so setups differ.

Which Insight products do you run?

List Insight EMR, InsightGO, Insight Billing, Total Insight, and any WebPT tools added since the acquisition.

Is an EMR move planned?

If a switch to another WebPT product is on the roadmap, time the billing handoff so claims do not change hands twice.

What access will you grant?

Choose a user role, reports, or clearinghouse route for the outside team, and name who approves it.

Where is open A/R?

Export aging claims so Taiga can take them over or work alongside your team at first.

Who this fits

Outpatient therapy practices still on Clinicient's Insight products that want an independent team on claims and denials. Rehab therapy sits outside Taiga's published specialty list, so expect a frank conversation about whether your services fit.

Scope note

Taiga does not claim an Insight or WebPT integration, listing, or partnership. Access to Insight Billing, reports, or your clearinghouse is confirmed on a call.

Questions from Clinicient practices

Is Clinicient still supported?

WebPT acquired Clinicient in January 2022 and says Insight products are not going away. Check WebPT's current plans for your own account.

Is Total Insight the same as hiring Taiga?

Both are managed billing, but Total Insight is WebPT's own service. Taiga is an independent partner, so compare scope, access, and pricing side by side.

Do we have to move to the WebPT EMR first?

No. Taiga works alongside your current system, so the billing decision can come before any EMR change.

Can Taiga take over our open Insight A/R?

If your services fit, Taiga can take over open A/R or run in parallel. The team starts from an aging report and the access you approve.
