Jane's claim folders, worked by an outside team

Jane supports US insurance billing through an add-on, with claims moving through folders from Draft to Approved. It also produces superbills for cash-focused clinics. Taiga can review whether the insurance side could be handed off while your team keeps running Jane.

How US claims move through Jane

Jane's billing tab organizes claims by stage. Each folder is a natural handoff point.

Policies on the appointment

Jane stores each patient's insurance policy in their profile and attaches it to covered appointments. Policy details entered at the front desk carry into every claim.

Claim folders

Jane moves claims through Draft, Unsubmitted, Submitted, Approved, and Waiting on Primary folders. The optional Draft folder lets billing staff review codes before submission.

Clearinghouse route

Jane's built-in clearinghouse partner is Claim.MD, which returns acknowledgements, rejections, and remittances into Jane. Clinics on another clearinghouse can export EDI files instead.

Where Taiga picks up

Taiga would handle eligibility checks, claim scrubbing and submission, rejections and denials, and patient statements, working inside the access your clinic approves.

What a Jane clinic keeps and hands off

Practitioners and the front desk keep their daily flow in Jane.

Daily flow stays put

Booking, charting, and checkout stay in Jane for practitioners and front desk staff.

Rejections get an owner

Claims in the Rejected folder need someone to fix and resubmit them. Taiga takes that on, along with payer denials and appeals.

Aging claims followed up

Jane's US billing training includes A/R tracking for aging claims. Taiga's team works that list toward payment or appeal.

Before handing off Jane billing

Confirm how your clinic has Jane's insurance features configured.

Is the Insurance Billing add-on active?

US claim features in Jane require it. Confirm which practitioners and locations bill insurance.

Which clearinghouse sends claims?

Note whether claims go through Claim.MD inside Jane or as EDI files to another clearinghouse.

Who can see what?

Decide which staff permissions an outside biller would get, keeping chart access to what the work needs.

What sits in the Submitted folder?

Claims awaiting remittance and older unpaid claims make up the open A/R that Taiga could take over or work in parallel.

Who this fits

US clinics on Jane that bill insurance and want rejections, denials, and follow-up handled outside the clinic. Mental health is one of Taiga's published specialties; for other disciplines, bring your service mix for a plain answer on fit.

Scope note

Taiga does not claim a Jane integration or partnership, and this page covers US insurance billing only. Access through staff permissions, reports, or the clearinghouse is confirmed on a call.

Questions from Jane practices

Can Taiga bill for our Jane clinic?

If you are a US clinic billing insurance, Taiga can review your setup. Mental health is a published Taiga specialty; other disciplines get a fit check first.

Does this apply to Canadian clinics on Jane?

This page covers US insurance billing. Jane documents a separate, portal-based workflow for Canadian insurers, so ask Taiga directly about anything outside the US.

Do we need to stop using Claim.MD?

Not as a rule. Which clearinghouse carries claims after the handoff is settled during onboarding.

Will our practitioners notice a change?

They keep booking and charting in Jane. Taiga drafts codes from notes for provider approval, which may add a short review step.
