Note becomes a claim
When a clinician creates a note, ICANotes adds a matching claim to the Claims tab of the Billing Worklist with a status of Not Generated.
ICANotes turns each note into a claim in its Billing Worklist, ready to generate and submit through the clearinghouse that comes with ICANotes+. The hard part comes after, with validation errors, payer denials, and balances nobody chases. Taiga can take that work while your clinicians keep charting in ICANotes.

ICANotes sorts claims into status buckets, which makes ownership easy to assign.

Generating a claim runs a check. Complete claims move to Ready, while claims with missing or invalid data land in the Error bucket with a downloadable list of reasons.
Ready claims are submitted and move to Billed. Clearinghouse submission needs an ICANotes+ subscription and a session with an ICANotes trainer.
Taiga picks up here, working rejections, denials, and appeals, including small-dollar ones, and sending patient statements and follow-up.
Your team keeps the clinical side. The billing queue gets a dedicated owner.
Someone is responsible for clearing validation errors on a schedule, not only when staff find time.
Taiga drafts ICD-10 and CPT codes from the note, and the clinician approves them before the claim goes out.
ICANotes supports secondary claim submission. Taiga can own those claims so the remaining balance gets billed.
A short review of your account settles most of the scope.
Electronic claims through the ICANotes clearinghouse need ICANotes+. Confirm your subscription and whether the trainer session is done.
An administrator grants Billing Worklist, Account Ledger, and Payments/Adjustments access by role in Settings. Agree on the smallest set that covers the work.
ICANotes advertises automatic posting of remittances. Check which payers post that way and which still need manual entry.
List Billed claims without payment and current Error bucket items so open A/R has a clear owner at cutover.
Independent mental health practices that chart in ICANotes and want coding review, claim follow-up, and appeals handled for them. Mental health is one of the specialties Taiga names publicly.
Taiga has no ICANotes integration, partnership, or automatic write-back, and the exact access is confirmed on a call. ICANotes also offers its own full-service RCM option, which you can weigh against an independent partner.
ICANotes requires ICANotes+ to submit claims through its clearinghouse. Confirm on a fit call whether that is the right path for your handoff.
Your administrator sets access by role in ICANotes. Because Taiga drafts codes from clinical notes, agree on what note access the coding work needs.
Yes. Correcting and resubmitting rejected claims is part of the work Taiga takes on, using the access your practice grants.
Onboarding takes about two weeks to the first claim. Taiga can take over open A/R or run in parallel with your current biller during that time.
Share a snapshot of your claim buckets and recent denials, using de-identified examples. Taiga will show what it would own from day one.
